Lake Manyara National Park

After leaving Little Olivers we retraced our steps back through Tarangire National Park back to Manyara, where the airstrip was although instead of heading for the airstrip, we instead went to Lake Manyara National Park.

The park stretches along the base of the Rift Valley Escarpment and has a wide diversity of terrain within the park ranging from jungle to savannah and everything in between. The lake supports many different bird species including a large population of flamingos. The lake is quite low right now so the flamingos were quite a way in the distance but it was still a magnificent sight. H

Coming next: Ngorongoro Crater

Here are some pictures from our visit to Lake Manyara.
